Running a hotel has become more difficult over the years. The race to keep up with regulations, trends, and evolving travel habits has led to many sleepless nights for owners, operators, and managers.

SDCLA’s “What Keeps You Up At Night” Luncheon is an opportunity to dive into topics such as administering internal guest security, increased number of external homeless interactions, and the regulatory compliance requirements of OSHA Safety; as well as an overlay on how the global pandemic has changed the overall guest experience and expectation at hotels.

Todd Seiders, the Director of Loss Control for PETRA Risk Solutions, is a much-sought-after speaker and an expert in hotel safety, security, and loss prevention. His knowledge and experience are deep, and he is thoughtful and entertaining in how he communicates these difficult subjects.

Todd has 20 years of law enforcement experience, with a large portion of his career spent in the Anaheim Disney Resort area, addressing hotel, tourism, and amusement park issues, and serving as Director of Loss Prevention for a large airport Marriott Hotel. Todd is a Certified Lodging Security Director awarded by the American Hotel Lodging Association.

SDCLA also will welcome and celebrate its 2023-24 board members with an installation ceremony to kick off what we anticipate will be an exciting and engaging year for San Diego County hotels.
